When we first started using Photoshop

This was one of the images we corrected. We straightened the picture our and fixed the big crease in the side using the crop and spot healing brush tools. We also learned how to use many of our retouching tools like the patch tool and the stamp tool which helped us fix many of the imperfections.

 Personal Selections Project

We were assigned a project to create a story using two images. For my story I decided to take the comical route and include my friends. In my story Kody is super small and decides to climb on Sidney. She then gets annoyed and flicks him off so Adam dives down to catch him. I used the magnetic lasso tool and the move tool to transfer Kody from one picture into the other.

Personal Photo Retouching Project

For this project we took an old photo and practiced all our retouching tools to fix it to the best of our ability. I chose this picture of a woman because I liked it and it looked like a challenge. I used many of the retouching tools including the stamp, patch tool, and spot healing brush. It did take me awhile to complete but overall it was worth it.

Independent Painting Project

We were assigned to create our own painting using photoshop, applying whatever painting tools/style we would like to. I chose to paint over a photography shot with my wet mixer brush. This ensured that the black and white of the original came through with my colors that I chose. I wanted this because I wanted to keep the tone of the original photograph but incorporate the new colors and the look of an actual painting.

Handmade Recreation Project

For this project, we recreated our advertisements that we drew at the beginning of the year. I used a spotlight effect and the magnetic lasso tool to create this advertisement for a Paxton Music Festival.

Choice Project

The guidelines for this project were fairly simple. We could create whatever we wanted as long as we used a certain amount of tools and had a theme. I decided to do a play on movie posters but put a funny spin on them. To create these posters I used a variety of tools from the magnetic lasso tool to the paintbrush.

Personal Portrait Editing Project

In this project, we took our own personal pictures and edited them. These two pictures are just a couple examples of what I learned. For example, I used a Gaussian Blur and then erased around the eye on the picture to the left to draw your attention to my eye.
